"Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it

 kills all its pupils."

You know how people say that elders are the wisest people on the planet? I want to be one of those grandmas that know everything about everything. If my grandchild asks me if a whale weighs more then an elephant, I want to be able to say “You bet your britches, child! That elephant weighs about as much as that whales tongue!”. Okay, maybe not exactly like that, but you get my point.

My education isn’t really up to me at this point. Don’t get me wrong, I take the classes I want to take, but I’ll be a dead girl if I get anything below a B-. My parents are very intent on the fact that I will be much better off with a good education. I’m still not quite sure if they’re saying that because they want me to be happy, or if they don’t want me hanging around the house for the rest of my life.  Either way, that mentality has grown on me, and I’m intent on getting a good education.

Even though education is important, I don’t have to like it. So when I graduate, I’ll be very happy. But that doesn’t mean that I won’t stop learning. Yes, I’m going to college, but think about it. Do we ever really stop learning? Who even said we have to be in a classroom, or with a teacher to learn! And learning doesn’t necessarily mean mathematics or science or history, it could be learning the streets, learning to live in the city or in the country, learning how to be in a good marriage or be a good family. Even learning how to except death. It’s a great part of the human world, don’t you think?
